Multi-grain Wholegrain Wholewheat Oat Cookies.Cookies are the food that can be customized and made from very few ingredients as available in home  and are absolutely delicious. The most healthiest part that they are made from 100% wholegrain. Customized food is my favorite kind of food that can be made by substituting any relevant choice of ingredients. Here you can substitute or can add dark chocolates or raisins, or can add some walnuts, or any dry fruits of your choice.This is perfect tea time snacks or will be good as perfect travel food as its full of fiber from wholewheat,oats,full of nutrition from dry fruits. and most importantly it is free from any preservatives.

















Ingredients

1 cup  quick cooking oats (I used Quaker Oats)

1 cup wholewheat flour (Regular Wheat flour)

1 to 2 pinch of baking soda

1 pinch of salt

1/2 cup butter/desi ghee (unsalted if using butter)

3/4 cup sugar/jaggery powder( raw/brown/organic) (Can adjust as per taste and sweetness) 

Few drops of vanila extract

1/2 cup curd/yogurt


How to Prepare


In a grinder grind oats until gets the coarse powder (Don't grind for very fine powder).

In a big bowl mix all dry ingredients wholewheat flour,oats,salt,soda,sugar/jaggery now add curd/yogurt,butter,vanilla extract and mix well and make smooth dough and keep it for resting for 1/2 to 1 hour.

In a meanwhile preheat oven for 180°c for 10 to 15 mins.

Take a baking tray place a sheet of parchment paper and  now take small ball of dough and make it in round shape using hands and flatten it gently in the middle and place it on baking tray.

Make all cookies in a same way.

Garnish the cookies with any dry fruits of your choice such as shaving of almonds,cashew nuts, pistachios  (I used chironji ) or raisins. 

Bake the cookies for 20 to 25 mins for 180°or till it gets cooked in perfect golden color and crispy.(Can check in the middle too).

Once cookies are done in perfect crispy golden brown color remove the tray from oven and  let it cool completely  then serve. 

This perfect,healthy travel food can be good for 2 to 3 days.
