Just because it's "Holiday" - Panna Cotta  



Holidays are Holidays when it meant to be with gatherings of "Fun,Family and Food"  together. Recently we have all celebrated Christmas and preparing for upcoming new years eve.When its holidays desserts plays a very important role regardless of cuisine and where we live.In today's fast paced world we get everything everywhere very easily with less or no hassle and that's how we get a chance to eat anything in any part of the world.

Like this few years ago i got a chance to eat "Panna Cotta" in one of the restaurant in "Mumbai" and i truly felt in love with taste and texture and everything about this "Humble Dessert" which originates from "Italy" and true beauty of this dessert is once u taste it you simply can't stop eating it. 

After a long long time i again got a chance to eat "Panna Cotta" in "Singapore" and i again felt in love and decided to give a try to this "Humble Panna Cotta" at home as holidays were on the way and my curiosity took me to try this on "Christmas".


      





 


Panna Cotta is a very very simple dessert and it can take very less efforts and time (Except the time for setting) and just very few ingredients to make this.

Ingredients:- 

1. 250 ml Full Fat Milk
2. 500 ml Heavy Cream
3. 3 Gold Gelatin leaf or 1 tbsp Gelatin Powder
4.Sugar as per taste (Panna Cotta contains very less sugar)
5. Vanilla Pod Scraped or Vanilla Essence  
6. Pinch of Saffron (Avoid if want to make classic Panna Cotta) 

How to Prepare:-

1.Heat milk+heavy cream in heavy bottom sauce pan and stir it continuously. 
2.Add Sugar+Vanilla pod Scrapped+ Saffron and remove from heat just before it gets to boil.
3.In a plate add lukewarm water and place gelatin leaf of powder whatever you are using to soften it for 5 min.
4.Now Squeeze out excess water and add geletin to hot milk n cream mixture and mix it well so that gelatin should dissolves completely.
5.Now strain the entire mixture with sieve into another big jar and let it cool down.
6.Once it is cool pour the small serving of mixture into each fancy cups or glasses whichever you prefers.
7.Now place all servings of glasses into refrigerator (You can cover the glasses with wrapping sheet if possible) for at least 5 to 6 hours or more if requires.   


Panna Cotta can also be serve with fresh fruits topping or fruits jams or sauce like strawberry, blueberry,raspberry or even mango.
